Angry Cab leak

So we had a rain storm last night. And when i got in the truck this morning i had water pouring in from the back window. 2010 Supercrew. Seat is wet and headliner shows signs also. Is it the window or the 3rd brake light. anyone else have this problem.

The 2004-2008 trucks had a nasty problem with the third brakes light leaking. I didnt know the 2009+ trucks had the problem. It wouldn't surprize me though.

My 2009 was in the shop 4 times for leaking 3rd brake light. There have been numerous other reports. Also reports or leaks from Sirius antenna.

Had the same issue on my '09. It was the 3rd brake light. A little silicone will do you fine.

Thanks Cajun
Thats what i'm probably going to try. Since the screws tighten it from the sides, i dont see how another light will seal any better.

Same here. Just had mine replaced last week on my 2010.

The service reps must know the problem well. I told the guy I had water around the rear window and he said "3rd brake light," and started writing the shop ticket.

Not sure if this is true but he said the seal\gasket and the light assembly are one item and the gasket on the original design turned out to be too thin, but replacements have been redesigned with a better seal\gasket and work well. Now I'm looking for a good rain to test it. Washing and spraying the truck with a hose never produced a leak.

The mechanic who actually did the repair was in the service area when I picked up my tuck and said, "There's nothin special 'bout em. They leak and we replace them."
