I have the heated flat glass back window and a open bed. I get this all the time... it happened on my Ranger too..
Just a nuisance living up north... have to clean all the ice off.. or rattle away.. if I don't clean the bed out as well the problem compounds its self with the vortices in the bed on the highway.
a rubber lip mounted between the bed and cab is the only thing I can think of to stop the ice build up... but then again winter is almost over...

This is HILARIOUS! I'm driving down the road listening to this dang rattle wondering...could it really be that ice??? Easy enough I stopped and broke it out. then I get about 3 blocks away on the highway and all this stuff starts blowing around, up and out of the truck.
I stopped and realized at out little league baseball signups the organizer had stuffed the bag of sample T-Shirts behind my bed extender so there was this fountain of multiple colored little league t-shirts spewing out if my bed on the highway until I could get pulled over!

mine does this as well. No matter how well I clean the snow off from between my toolbox and cab window I still get the rattle. In fact, it's quieter when packed with snow/ice than when I clean it off and leave a little bit in there. It's annoying but something I live with haha. Perks of New England.
