Default Cab to axle

In a week or so I am going to buy a 2011 ecoboost screw 4x4. I have been looking for a while because I want a truck I can drive every day and haul cattle in my gooseneck a few times a year. I need to know the cab to axle difference in the 5.5 and the 6.5 beds. 6.5's are hard to find but I may be able to get the 5.5 and the 4" b&w extender. Thanks

Don't lose the extra foot + of truck for $300. Get the 6.5 bed as it sounds like you will actually use your truck. Most people on here have a hard time maneuvering these trucks parking OR... they just bought the short bed for looks and could care less about usability. Coming from an F550 these trucks are tiny.

Well I do care about "useability" and I did buy the 5.5 bed and I do use my truck and I do agree I bought it for the looks.

A goose-neck full of cattle has got to weigh a lot. What do you think the trailer will weigh loaded?
