Don't think mine is fugly. Hard to see in photos but that is because behind the grille style is not too obtrusive.

I voted "no deflector", but not to oppose any of the reasons listed. I think they look pretty nice, and they DO help (uh, slightly... kinda like deer whistles), but when I read the research from the GM aerodynamics guru about how they cut mpgs... THAT is why I won't get another one - because I've had one on all my trucks in the past. Now I just sport a clear bra - n - be done with it...

I got the Ford one... dont buy one to stop bugs... I just drove through Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wyoming in a 4 day trip which made my window impossible to see through... I actually had to stop every 200 miles just to clean the windshield. FACT. Wife was happy cause her mini bladder got relief every 3 hours.... Oh well.. Hood protector, yes... Bug deflector... No F^^&*(ing way.

Cheers

Do tell ... I'm getting around the advertised mileage, so how bad can it be?

I don't mind the way my AVS low profile deflector looks, but I wish the thing worked better - - just returned from a long road trip, and there was still a lot of bugs on the windshield ...

Yah it doesnt work on bugs, I got one on mine just to cover up the top bar on the grille, dark blue with that big azz chrome top bar didn't work for me. I did modify my brackets to be as close as possible to the body.

Really hard to pick up the clear bra with the camera, but here's a pic. The entire front and mirrors have it.

I put a deflector on my STX the first time I waxed it. had chips and whatnot. The deflector has helped. Mostly I got it because I caught a rock and had to pay near 5 beans for new glass.

Since buying a AVS bugflector i have not lost a windshield or had to repair chips on the front edge of the hood.

I prefer the look of no bugflector, i really do.
