Ah, the shading fooled me. Lots of people think my green one is black too.

my neighbor across the way has a kodiak brown xlt and i swear its black
I have a real hard time seeing the brown

i even looked at his paint code to make sure

my wife drove it today for a quick trip to the store
she came back about 4 hrs later and smiling so i guess its a keeper

she said it rides better than the 2010 2wd ?
i bet the tires are low on air

sooo after 4 days
this is my impression

super quiet inside the cabin compared to the 2010 lariat
for some reason the 4x4 rides smoother than the 4x2 it replaced

eco boost is little barn burner with mucho low end grunt, three times now i pressed the go pedal like i did on the 5.4 and was amazed at how fast i passed 60

the auto start and climate is fantastic

the my ford touch is imo quirkier than the wonderful nav unit in the 2010, but i am learning its nuances

ambient lighting is a hit with the wife

electric power steering is SENSITIVE and very light

the light inside the center console is great

night driving is better with the hid lamps

did i mention its very quiet ?
love to here the turbos do a nice spool up when i am outside it and the engine starts, brings me back to my 6.0 super duty

a huge amount of under body baffles and airflow management items,

driven 160 ish miles and the tank still is around 7/8 full

Congratulations on the new truck. I was toying with the idea of a KR, They are rare. But wifey wasn't fussy on the interior, so we went back to another FX4. No regrets whatsoever here on my purchase. But I still like the KR's

was wondering why the crash ratings went down from 2010, it was four stars for front end collision, now its 4 for driver and 3 for passenger
and something to give you pause...my books in the glove box had a printed time stamp receipt for completion.......... sep 11, 2012 at 23:55 Pm
truck was finalized the next day
Very sweet ride and ill bet it has a Texas Edition emblem on the back?

You the onē and the same "Powerboatr" from the iRV forum site, and are planning on this being a new TOAD? Either way, my observation stands. Sweet ride indeed.

yep
on the irv2
but no on the texas edition plaque

wife is making new pillow covers for the pillows that go in the back seat
one has a nice southwest pattern and the other has Texas all over it
oh the tires were set at 36psi pretty low for the weight. especially on the front
so i bumped em to 39 up front, tightened the ride up a bit, but now i have an even tire patch on the ground

took her to the dealer this morning to have the driver door handle adjusted so it opens with one pull vice two

took em about an hr
and we were out the door
the tech stated he had to adjust the mechanism inside and bing bang we were fixed
seems to be a common issue on 13's he has fixed several, so he knew exactly what to do, actually took him less than 30 to do the whole thing
