I checked my latest tank and got 17.75 imperial MPG. There was probably 20-30 minutes of idling and the rest was general winter driving. I tried to not go over more than 10kmph over the speed limit but I did get my foot into it a few times while passing. I'd say I am getting 3-4 mpg more with the 5.0 over my 06 w/5.4 doing the same type of driving.

good to hear, how many km's do you have on there now? what would that equate to in litres/100km and us mpg?

I'm at about 3200 miles almost all of which has been in town. Literally 1 block stop/go mostly. Averaging about 12.5.

3.55 gears.

Took one 300ish mile round trip of highway driving and got 19.2.

I'll figure out the USG and liters tomorrow. I am also going to get the truck weighed because I am guessing there is around 600 pounds in the bed minimum at any given time.

Everyday driving in the city I average 13.8 L/100K. On the highway I get about 12 l/100k roughly 19mpg cdn. I have 14,000kms on my truck and it took about 4000 to 5000 before my mileage started to even out. Worst tank ever I averaged 15 l/100k when it was -40c out which includes long idle times to warm up the truck.

Geez you're doing alright in that case, my worst tank so far was about 18L/100km. I've still only got around 6000kms on the truck though, so I still dont feel like its broken in yet. I'm hoping that with some more highway driving and the addition of the tonneau cover it should start to go down a lot. Fingers crossed

Ya it should get better for sure, I have the roll up tonneau don't know if it really helps or not? Every once in a while I'll jump on it with a wot run.
