Default Brake Pads and Rotors off eBay?

Anyone ever order brake pads and rotors off of eBay? How did it work out?

I'm thinking of something like this:

I bought a set of these for my 04 and had them on for 2-3 years before selling it. No issues at all and seemed to perform better than the stock set-up.

Also had the same stuff on my 06 F150 with 8" lift and 37" tires. Worked well and never had an issue in the 2 years before I got rid of the truck.

Where you buy isn't what is important. WHO you buy them from is what is important. Many reputable companies sell on Ebay, such as Discount Tire, or on Amazon. It's a channel. They are still the seller, and the company providing the sale of the item and it's warranty (if any authorized reseller). So you want to make sure that the manufacturer of the item provides warranty coverage via the seller you are choosing.

In other words, if I buy a brand name brake pad and then sell it on Ebay, you have no warranty, because you can't prove purchase of a new product to the manufacturer. If a legitimate reseller sells it, you get the warranty.

Your seller is Brake Motive, and you are buying Brake Motive brand. I have never heard of them (which means nothing), but they have over 200,000 sales on Ebay since 2004.

Their website at www.brakemotive.com is "Under Construction", and they refer you to their Ebay store. It appears they used to sell on Amazon, but no longer do.
