Yeah, my bad. it is the 3.5. I had the fix done, but the problem is still there. Went away for a few days, but showed back up.

Not a recall, but an extended warranty on the electric vacuum pump. It will act up and make noise after sitting over night. I would take it in.

Well I would say if you had "the fix" done and it still isn't fixed, then it wasn't done very well.

What fix did you have done? A little details about your truck and your attempted repairs would go a long way to helping you diagnose this.

a few months ago I got a letter about the brake booster system. I took it in then and had that taken care of. However, that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem I described. I bought the truck new and have about 76,000 miles on it. Other than having to wait about 15-20 seconds for the brakes to work properly I have had no issues. Also this only happens in the morning or if the truck sits for a long period of time.

What did they actually do? What is on the invoice they gave you?

Sounds like they didn't fix it to me. And it is the same problem. I would take it back in...

Brake booster issue is with 2013-14 trucks only. 2011-12 trucks have an electric vacuum pump that is prone to fail which would cause the symptoms you described.

I don't know why you would get a letter regarding the brake booster.
