Default Bought new truck, got too much rebates

Does any one know if I have to payback $1k extra a dealer gave me by mistake when I bought my new truck. Just picked-up this weekend and the dealer gave me a extra thousand because they thought I traded a car in on trade but, their mistake, I did not trade any car in. All paperwork has been signed,by both sides, showing they gave me $1k more than when I ordered the truck.

have they brought it up to you, or did you just notice it and not tell them?

I'm no lawyer but I'm willing to bet that if the transaction is completed in full and signed by both parties, then there is probably nothing they can do to make you give it back. it was a screwup on their part.

Just tell em it's too late. I once had this happen on one of those loyalty rebates. It said "up to $750" so they gave me the $750 and we signed all papers. Afterwards, it was found to only be $250, so they wanted me to write them a $500 check. I said no way and they acted like they were canceling the deal. I just told em to give me whatever set of keys they wanted me to have (my trade or their car) They ended up letting me walk with the new car, of course.

Tell em you'll take that deal if they throw in a bedliner or window tint. That stuff costs them nothing and they get $500 back in exchange.
