Default Borla ATAK vs Flowmaster 40 Series

I am pretty sure there is already a thread on this but I was wondering what everyone thoughts are between the ATAK and 40 series. From my understanding, there is less drone on the ATAK. Which one is louder?

Right now i have a single in single out 40 series. I will be switching to true duals. Is it possible to just get the ATAK muffler associated with the catback setup? If so which muffler would that be.

Any sound clips would be greatly appreciated.

My truck is a 2012 F150 XLT 5.0 V8.

My buddy has a Flowmaster 40 and I have a Borla ProXS (supposedly a slightly quieter version of the ATAK line) on our 5.0s. I can't specifically speak for the ATAK, but my Borla is awesome IMO. It was cheap and easy to weld in for a SIDO setup. I removed my resonator as well. Just enough volume for me with a deep rumble when cruising at low RPMs. WOT is throaty and has a sort of whine to it that I really like, but I'm rarely at WOT... Slight drone cruising at 1800, but I'm picky. Most people that ride with me don't even notice it. I'm planning on welding in a J-pipe to get rid of it this summer. I'll probably step out of the resonance once I get 4.10s anyway, so its not a big issue for me.

Personally, I hate my buddy's Flowmaster. Way too loud for my liking, and has horrible drone at highway speeds. That's also just my opinion.

Borla used to have great sound clips on their website, and I bet they still do. Not sure if they would sell you just an ATAK muffler, but you can call and ask. I looked into them and went with the ProXS for that reason. I had all the piping, hangars, and welding skills to do it myself.
