Has anyone tried the glow shift boost gauge. I just gone mine in the mail. It wants constant power, ignitions, ground and dimmer. Apart from getting these from the wire harness for the navigation. Any easy to get to spots? If so what colour wires? I was thinking of trying the odb2 port wires.

Bump, going to try it today and thinking of using the dimmer switch for power and dimming. Any idea on what colour wires are for what?

Ok update. I got the constant power, ground and dimmer hooked up. But stumped on 12v ignition power. I can find a lot of 5v sources when I turn on the ignition but so far no 12v. Any ideas?

Ok ended up using a purple/tan wire on the passenger floor. Seems to work.

But my dimmer wire does not work so far. If I dim the lights they get brighter. Lol

I tapped into the airbag indicator light that's in the loom just above the radio. Looking forward to seeing your pics, I went with the Roush boost gauge because it matches the stock gauges perfectly.

Here it is. I grabbed it because it has the 10 colours (mainly wanted white) and the red needle. Also it has a layer of tint so when it is off it is almost impossible to see the gauge.

In the pic the light looks purple but in person it is a true white.

For some reason I can only upload 1 photo per post.

The only thing I don't like is the startup and shutoff sequence of the gauge, lots of different colours and some flashing. Other than that seems to work good.

Tapping into random wires is not a good idea on these vehicles, the fuse ox is on the right kick panel, you can get power, switched power and ground. Dash backlighting is pulse width modulated, you either need to convert that signal or use a led.

The only one that is iffy is the purple line, but I ensured it was after the fuse box. Still do wish i could find a wiring diagram.

Edit: Not sure on the pulse width modulated signal but I do believe the light from the gauge is LED. And I did have the wrong wire on the dimmer at first.
