Default Blue Oval?

Kind of upset about all of the badges on the front of our Fords fading away into nothing. You would think Ford would be proud of their heritage and make these like they did a few years back. My 96 and 02 trucks never had this problem. They have been cheapened to the point that they do not last. The blue oval was once a symbol of a quality, well built, long lasting truck, it was the first thing you saw when they are coming down the road. Now our blue ovals are just a faded memory... Now every where I turn I see a silver oval where the pride used to be.

It is really sad and I totally agree with you. I went through two replacement badges on my 2007 F150. They cover the badge with what appears to be a coat of clear plastic and over time it starts to come off...really shameful! I constantly see other F150s with this problem.

Spend 32 bucks and slap on a new one. I've already replaced the back one trying to take my camera off. Cheap easy fix!

I am on my 13th F150, and never had an issue with all but one. That had a motor issue that was replaced three weeks from when it was delivered.
I can also tell you the the FORD logo was as Blue on the day I traded each one back in, as the day I bought it.

Many of us here are super-critical of our beloved F150s, in spite of the fact that we would sooner die than drive a ********.
I sure have been happy with mine!

I am happy with mine too, now that I put the Superchip on it and it performs more it should have. It's just that we spend so much money on these trucks, that something as small as that tends to be a splinter in your finger. Now if I could just get my transmission to act right, I will be in good shape.
