Default Black F-150 emblems

I really want to black out my F-150 emblems on the fenders and tailgates. I am kind of a perfectionist and am worried about the long term using plastidip. I also don't want it to peel if I paint the chrome. Does anyone know if you can buy emblems that are black?

I got the appearance package emblems and had the red insert painted sterling gray to match my truck. Dealer ended up throwing emblems in when I picked up truck.

Yep it's best to have it done by a paint shop if you want it to look good. I did my emblems black but I added a reduced black over all of it to make it look kinda old.

You can paint them with black and clear them over. The paint will stick depending on the type of prep work done. I did mine and I have had no issues thus far. When painting it all comes to prep work truly.

plastidip lasts forever on these small pieces that never get hanndled.. i wouldnt go through the hassle of removing your emblems to replace it when it would be easier to just peel and respray your plastidip emblems in the rare event that something should happen to them
