Default Bilstein 5100's question

Should be getting my 2014 fx4 in a few more days and was debating on a level for a long time...I decided against it because I didnt want to put excess wear on certain parts. Read about the Bilstein's and they may be what I want but I have a question or two for people who have them.

1 - My biggest concern - Is it true they wont put extra wear on other parts of the suspension, ball joints etc, even at their highest setting?

2 - The Bilstein page on the shocks http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/...WebArticle.pdf says they can go up to 2.75" but I feel like I've read from people it's a good bit lower, what's the actual highest setting at?

3 - If I dont do anything to the rear what's the right setting to level the truck out, I just dont want to end up with the nose up, even if it's very slight.

4 - And lastly, anyone have a good place to purchase a set of front/rear 5100's?

Thanks.

In most cases if you use the top clip position the front will be slightly higher than the rear with any weight in the bed.

Bilstein has not yet made the front shock for the 2014. 09-13 use a 24-187497, the 2014 has a different lower control arm mount as does the shock have a different style lower mount. If and when they make it we will have it on our shelves.

I put a set on my 2012 at highest setting and it was nose high with no weight in bed. I put a 3" block in the rear and have rake again. I like it but might have gone with middle clip position and left rear alone next time. Here's a pic, back came down about 1/2" when I put the topper on.

ajusa.com has them at the best prices I could find but be aware, the fronts are STILL on backorder and hopefully coming soon but you can buy them now and lock in at their prices but they will not charge you until they ship.

Looks good. Just waiting on my fronts then I am set to install all 4 and my 3" rear blocks. I too have a cap and I think with that extra weight I am going to install the fronts at the 2nd highest settings to maintain more rake.
