If you are are doing any type of driving in the mud, then you might want to go with the Duratracs over BFG ATs. I had the BFGs on my last truck. They would cake up really quickly and easily due to it's close tread ***** not being able to effectively clean off the mud. The BFGs are great in just about every other terrain but mud and snow. Duratracs are very good a cleaning off caked mud thus making them very good in mud and snow as well as other terrains. The BFG and Duratracs quitness and on road performance are basically identical although Duratracs are known for great hydroplane resistance in reviews. BFGs are known for long life, but Duratracs are still too new to tell with most getting 40k miles out if them so far. I have 20k miles on mine so far with no complaints at all and I have taken them in every terain besides snow.

I live in the mountains of WV and ski at snowshoe resort every weekend during the winter. That is why I am looking at the duratracs. My family also has 1000 acre farm that the fields can often get pretty muddy. But I want a tire that will handle my long drives to the beach in NC.

I just dont like the look of the duratracs. They may be an awesome tire but based solely on appearance alone I would go with the BFG ATs if choosing between those two.

My self... I am trying to choose between the BFG ATs and the Toyo AT2s (but they dont make the extreme version in a 275/65/20... bummer) and more of a street tire like the Michelin At2s.

I flip flop every other day on which one I like. I wish I did like the Duratracs because then I would get the 285/60/20. I think it would be the perfect size for a stock truck.

I love the white lettering on the bfgs. I don't like the price. LOL.

My next set will be duratracs. (Or bfgs if I pull the trigger on a raptor)

I'm in the same boat...living in Colorado the majority of my driving is snow and ice. I just recently purchased a 2'' AS level and plan to ditch the Pirellis come next winter. Here's what I've found as far as pricing goes on tires. I dont plan to run the biggest tires I can fit just a size up or so.

BFG AT KO's 285/55-20's (32.5'' tall, 11.7'' wide, 57lbs) $1592 for 4. Maybe a tire shop can beat this locally.

Goodyear Duratracs 285/60-20's (33.5'' tall, 11.5'' wide, 59lbs) $1428 for 4. Again, im sure you could find a tire shop that will match or beat this.

Seeing that OE on my truck (275/55-20, 31.9'' tall, 48lbs) going with either tire isnt a significant difference in weight. Rolling diameter however is slightly larger.
