I use chemical guys Grime Reaper but diluted so far down its almost water.
I come back with chemical guys black on black for plastics since its dry and not like tire shine. i do that maybe once every 6 months and just wipe everything down when i check the oil weekly.
Do not use simple green under the hood. it deteriorates belts...best case makes them squeal uncontrollably.
