Best Muffler and Tip combo??

"Best" depends on your likes/dislikes.
I like a low rumble, rear exit, rolled tips, lifetime warranty. I went with a set of Borlas. Others like side out, angled tips, some like pipes coming up and out of the bed like a big rig. To each their own.

I had a Flowmaster 50 on my 01 SCrew and a 40 on my 04 SCrew. I definitely liked the 40 with more rumble, but that's just me.
My more "conservative" (function over form) friend was complaining one day sometime ago about loud cars and the folks that modify them to make it louder, then he realized that my 04 truck was of the type that he was complaining about!
It truly is a personal preference question and you have to find audio clips to find the "tone" that fits you, and photos of the tips. Though, really, regardless of manufacturer, the styles are pretty much the same variety: There are the rolled tips versus non-rolled, chrome or polished stainless steel, straight or slash cut, split dual or single tip, and finally, round, oval or even other oddly shaped (I've seen a Chevy bow-tie tip).

personally i hate flowmaster anything /shrug.
I run a magnaflow si/so with stock exhaust exit. I like the magnaflow becase its quiet at idle and rumbles like a mustang gt when you get on it. I also am a big fan of borla, its an adult growl not a loud droning if that makes sense.

2010 blue screw 4x4
I used the spintech exhaust on my 07 scab 5.4 4x4 exit behind right rear tire. Great sound/price quality. Will be putting spintech on my 2010 screw 4x4... Just my opinion

Yesterday I went to a beach about an hour away- lots of hills, towing the seadoo. Instead of riding the brakes, I hit tow/haul and used engine compression to slow us down a few times. At 2500 RPMs or so, its a nice loud rumble. At 1000-1500, its much quieter. At 3000 RPMs, it lets you know its there. Again, its a personal choice- I love it.
When towing the 5er, even the sounds reflected back to the truck from the camper front is a nice tone, to me anyways.
Scan youtube- there are some vids that some people have taken from inside.
Hope that helps.
