Did the tailgate assist mod. Princess auto had it for $49(plus taxes). Should I be worried about the cable curving like that around the strut?

Nope. If it was under direct stress, sure, but at rest like that? It's fine.

That DeeZee tailgate assist is one of the best mods I've ever done! Love it so much that when I bought my new truck I had one ordered for it the next day. For $26 you can't beat it!

where did you get it for $26? forum vendor? they're $40/ea on autoanything.. I'm guessing only 1 is needed and not one on each side?
