was incredibly easy to just tie into the taillight so I went that route. That way sounds like a good route as well. Next task is powering the LED strips for my running boards but have no idea what colour wire of the 40 running through the rear kick plate. Anyone have any ideas? I read the 2012 parking lights are supposed to be blue/yellow but there isn't a blue/yellow wire in there. :/ and not stripping 30 wires to see which the right one is.

I believe the wire you are looking for is gray with a purple tracer. I have not tried it yet, but that is what I got from my research.

Just installed the ring the hooks for the release pin on the rear backseat to access storage. Very easy to do just do not overload what you put in the back because you can Jam the pin and or you won't be able to lift the seat up from the bottom. Have to give Credit to youtuber heyjacks. Thanks.

Does your pin have a hole in it to slide that key ring onto? Mine is easy enough to do by hand but I just looked and there is no way for me to get anything on it

Edit: I just found the video you mentioned and see where he mentions having to drill the hole

I had mine wired to an actual switch on my ranger it was tied into my wheel well and underbody lights. Was RGB so I could have whatever color I wanted. I've thought about doing the same to my bed now but I'm constantly hauling scrap or CRAP lol

Yes very easy to drill the hole and I had some old key rings lying around. All I need is to get a stretchable cord like paracord. Good luck.

Just got done rigging mine up. For some reason the first time I closed it the key ring got all bent up, must've gotten caught up in the latch. I took it off and found an old pull chain from a ceiling fan and looped it through the hole. Attached a couple zip ties up to the headrest and...voila!!! Much easier to access

Great! Just be careful how much stuff you load back there to close it and to lift the bottom seat up.
Using my old duffel bag and another bag able to keep straps and basic tools that I may need in case of an emergency. Need to add a set of jumper cables and I'm good to go.
