Absolutely agree.

I am sorry but those GMs are the ugliest trucks on the market. I will never understand the square wheel wells. Jamming a round peg into a square hole. Have to jack it up 8" just to fit 35s

If something happened to my Limited, I would go with the GMC w/the 6.2.

Is it too late to inject my own "knowledge" of GM vehicles that will in no way sway the OP into getting rid of the Chevy he already bought? Or is 5 pages of it enough?

No changing here. I expect retort... My only huge issue was Ford's response.

So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good luck with your new ride man.
I had 3 Chevy's, until the dealer I bought all 3 from seemed like they didn't care anymore about their service.
The last straw was my 2000 that had a stuttering window when it went down. No biggie, I knew it was just the outside weather strip being uncooperative. Instead of replacing it they sprayed WD-40 outside and in (I watched it happen) and said here you go, you're all set.
Brand new truck that smelled like being inside a can of wd-40.
Bye Chevy.
Ironically the service at my Ford dealer ( Stoneham Ford in Ma) is why I keep buying Ford's. Not that I've needed a lot done, but they always do the right thing.
I hope you have a great truck and a positive experience. You deserve it.
