I have had a few over the years from roll and lock, leer, backflip, and a ******* cover back in the day. I now have an undercover and I find build quality to be great. It's not too heavy color match was great. The backflip was great for accessibility to whole bed but leaked like crazy and made it not great for storing sensitive things in bed. I would buy undercover again.

I have a 1988 F150 with a standard bed and I am shopping for a new bed cover. The hard covers are a little too expensive so I am looking at a roll up or fold up. I think I will go with the fold up, so my questions to this group is which is the best model and brand to purchase?? Is there one that is above all the rest? There are so many available and they all sound great> any advice or suggestion is appreciated.

I prefer the roll up type and LOVE my Truxedo Truxport. Very convenient and decent in price. It keeps the bed about 95% dry...only driving rain get's in every once in a while.

I would personally look at the TonnoPro soft folding... If you just need simle and to keep weather out they are nice... We sell them around $250 shipped and its a lot of bang for your buck in a cover...

Not sure on that one...

But if you are looking for 1 piece and painted I would take a hard look at the Undercover.... Painted or not and much lighter than fiberglass and easier to remove if you need to... Probably less expensive as well...

The bakflip revolver x2 is amazing. Doesn't leak like other bakflip because it has one sheet of vinyl on it covering the aluminum slats. Light weight, durable, doesn't block the rear window, still full access to your bed when needed and the pros go on.

I have a Peragon retractable cover and couldn't be happier. They start at $699, don't block the rear window when open and are available in paint to match. They are also aluminum and lockable so they are secure.
