Default Before & After aFe stage 2 CAI sound comparison with Magnaflow

A coworker has been trying to get me to buy a CAI for my truck just so i can be his guinea pig. the sole purpose of this was for him to hear the difference. I picked up the intake for a steal $200 w/free shipping. I know alot of people are against CAI and all of their claims.... and so was I. my last truck was put on a dyno after i did full borla exhaust and K&N gen 2 intake and tuned so i never really got to see what happens with just a normal install. I still didnt believe in the advertised increased hp number, but i was in love with the increase in obvious torque and sound. after filming the last after shot i went over to the shop and picked up a SCT tuner. Shop told me once they set it up on the dyno it will be even better.

feel free to bash however you want. people bashing on an online forum entertains me. this is for those that care.

Happy you like it-I love my Roush CAI, never had a car or truck that gained so much in the way of sound with just a CAI as the 5.0 has!

I put a Magnaflow and an aFe Stage II CAI on my dad's 2011 Limited 6.2 and it was very, very loud in cabin. It was cringe worthy especially when towing. We were about to install a larger muffler until I decided to install the stock intake. After I did, it made a huge difference in resonance. It went back to being quiet with that little bit of rumble coming from behind you.

So I agree with you that a CAI adds a whole lot of sound and rumble, but I never felt any performance gains other than a little more low end torque.

Wow, I cannot believe how much additional noise that pumps into the cabin!

Sounds good. A cold air intake does add quite a bit of noise, but hey I like my truck to be loud and I enjoy the noise it makes. I installed the K&N kit on my truck right after I got it and have never regretted it.

Can't believe I waited this long to do this. I was against added noise. Thought I grew out of that back during college. But damn I love this sound
