People that think that a lowered 4x4 has lost all capabilities make me LOL.

Just because it's lowered, does that mean that the front wheels won't engage? Does it mean that if you don't throw your truck down mud puts or trails, it doesn't need to be 4x4? Does it mean that it won't do what he needs it to do when he needs it to do it? Not so.

I doubt he DIDN'T think about its continued effective functionality for HIS lifestyle and needs before he made the decision to lower it.

This is what I meant earlier about "Oh god, here we go.".

Thanks for all the creative comments! I really love the "useless" ones... Believe it or not I drive down gravel roads all the time, taking the quad out or even hauling the 27ft fifth wheel... Oh that's right.. I guess it's useless and can't be used now... Guess I should sell all the toys? And 4x4 works perfect still, here in northern Alberta we get this thing called snow and ice on our roads and it's nice to not be slipping and sliding at all intersections. If I lived " down south " I would have purchased a 2wd and done this, here in the north this makes more sense. To each their own though, I just love the automotive industry, personally I like lifted, lowered, full size, mini truck, hot rods and even imports.

I like them lifted and lowered, so rock on... It sure looks cool with the long wheel base too.

I think lowering a 4x4 is pretty cool. You still have towing capabilities, 4wd, and most of all, this will lower the center of gravity and will perform better when taking corners at speed.

I think it looks good and if it works for you thats all that matters. I have owned so many different brands/styles/modified cars so I like 99% of whats out there (donks still bug me lol). I can't understand people who think of their car like a toaster though, that bothers me more than any mods a car enthusiast would have.

I personally think it looks better than my big tire/fender gaped FX4.

Wow, you tow a 27 ft 5er like this? That's impressive. Have any pictures? How does it tow?
The ride must be VERY stiff then unloaded, or are you using some sort of air bags or something?

I don't have any pics right now, but next time I hook up I will post some. Yes, it does have helper bags.

Thanks, I'd love to see a couple pics.
The helper bags make perfect sense, I am still impressed though that you can do that (tow a 5er).
Hope you did not take my other comments in this thread the wrong way. I agree with the others that this is your truck, and you need to like it, that's all that counts in the end.
I just had my doubts about the load capacity of a lowered truck, but maybe you have proven me wrong ....

Technically, if you are going to lift and wheel your 4x4, you would not be in an IFS equiped rig!

99% of lifted trucks are just for looks and nothing more so you actually get less value out of those versus a lowered truck that drives every single day on the road and it will reap the benifits every day. lol

Like someone else said, I love all things motor! I draw the line at imports that think stickers and wings add speed though, they have to be clean!

I dig the look.

Flix, look at any truckin' mag or diesel tuner and check out the slammed duellys that still tow goose necks and 5ers, it's crazy looking but it can be done. They do use air bags though.
