Default Bed side steps

A couple months ago I picked up a really nice '13 Lariat/6.2. It's about as loaded as a Lariat can get, including the fold-out bed side steps. I find these to be extremely useful, as I am constantly getting into my cross-bed toolbox, yet I don't think I've seen another truck with them installed. They show up on the window sticker/build sheet, so I know they're factory installed. Anybody else have these?

They are a factory option. AFAIK they were only available for the 6.5 bed.

Only 2 options my truck did not come with are the bed steps and the tailgate step, I can live without the tailgate step but I found a set of the bed steps on Ebay and got them and put them on. A lot easier to pull 40 pound salt bags out of the front of the bed with those on there

They have them on 5.5 beds also, but only 1 foot can go on them

Right, so shorter to account for that shorter space from wheelwell to cab. I wasn't sure if they offered it on the 5.5 beds.

I have them on the 5.5' bed. Came pre-optioned on a dealer order. I don't think I would have ordered them... but they have come in handy.. I close them by hand, as I have accidentally hit the truck body with my foot trying to close them with a foot..

I've been very careful when using them, and still have a very small scratch on both sides of the bed..

The one thing I don't like about them is their size. They're huge!

I like the beststop or amp ones. They are smaller and would seem less likely to get hung up in an off camber or off road situation.

You are right they are big and I probably would not have them on an off road vehicle.
Although closed they do hang down a little lower than the running boards most people do not notice them.
