Like all of you I'm coming to grips with these tall side bed sides. Thank goodness I'm 6'4" and have the bed step option for side access.

I need to find a bed box that will fit between the wheels and the front of the box below the window but nothing that requires a bolt on to the rails. Needs to have a stout seal as my fire gear/first responder equipment needs to go in there (coat, bunker pants, boots, helmet, SCBA, halligan, ropes, etc).

I had a Delta Packer 90 in my previous truck but after years in the elements the seals on the lid finally gave up the ghost and it no longer locks. With turnout gear at $4000/set I'm not inclined to leave it open. Gas shocks for the lid are a must.

 

Don't know if it will work for you but Decked makes a set of drawers that I fill with backpacking and camping gear. I'm a lot shorter than you and it is nice to be able to reach into the truck bed to get gear. The drawers are almost full length and fairly water tight, the driver side drawer on my system does leak a bit the passenger does not, after 4 years of use in WI. and Midwest states. KM
