Default bearing?

I know not long ago there was a thread asking this but cannot find it. I am taking my truck in tomorrow again for another issue and want to bring this up as well.

when I turn left I get a grinding feeling in the steering wheel... like a bad bearing or something in the passenger front wheel. when I turn right it is smooth as butter. usually feel it more the slower I am going.

any ideas?

Could be a dragging caliper or a bad hub. If you are 4 wheel drive it could be the Iwe in the front wheels. If they lose vacuum they stay engaged the whole time. The vacuum holds the actuators away

definitely not in 4wd.. it does not jump or catch like that. just a grinding feedback I feel in the steering wheel when turning left. may be a hub.

Let us know what you hear from the dealership, gillysmi; I'll keep an eye out for your updates. How many miles are on your truck now?

What you describe sounds like wheel bearing if its smooth one way loaded, and rough the opposite. Sure sign.

Do as Crystal suggests....easy for a tech to diagnose.

I had this problem with a late 90's truck when I turned the hub was partially engaging. If I remember correctly it was an easy fix by dealer
