i have a 2012 F150 ecoboost fx4. Replaced the battery and alternator. reset the BMS. After a few minutes the light comes back on. alternator putting out 14.1V. I'm lost on what could be going on. any help appreciated!

 

Welcome, was it a Ford alternator? New or rebuild? Our trucks are very finicky about alternators.

 

it was a reman alternator. from car quest not a ford alternator....

what do you recommend to use to replace it?

 

The best option is going to be a Ford/Motorcraft alternator. What's the exact application? Last eight digits of the VIN would be great as there are usually options.

Are you able to ship to Oregon? how does returning the core work if its shipped. my local ford dealer was $472.73 after core returned.
