So, I had intermittent issues with the backup camera not working and just displaying a blue square in the rear view mirror - checked all the connections as per suggestions on this forum all of which were fine.

Ordered a cheap non genuine replacement camera which once plugged in worked perfectly except there was no guide lines and no zoom feature. I returned that and bought a genuine one as the zoom is handy for all the towing we do when hooking up the trailers.

Installed the genuine one and now have the guidelines but no zoom feature, when I select it it still stays on the same wide angle view.

The part number of the camera that I have been sent is BL3Z-19G490-B which I have been assured is the correct one for the 2011 XLT. Certainly it fits fine and works but just not the zoom.

Does anyone know if the zoom feature was dropped from later cameras?
