Lately I have been having problems with my backup camera. Usually just in the morning, leaving my driveway, the camera has been going in and out. It will startup and then go black, usually a few times. Yesterday when I went to backup, the screen said that the camera was unavailable, but then it blinked on after a couple seconds. This morning however, I had the on/off thing happen a few times but then it came back on and the picture was very low resolution. I tried it a couple times and the picture just stayed the same crappy low resolution. Anybody else had this issue? Is my camera going bad, or could it be just bad connections? The million dollar question is, does it have something to do with the screen itself?

 

Mine went out two day ago. Blue screen. Do some searching as there are tons of threads with your issue. It's most likely the camera itself. Picking mine up tomorrow for $400 from a local dealership.and a new emblem as they will break during removal.
