Default Backup camera help

I'm having an odd problem trying to get my backup camera working. This is on a 2014 F-150 Limited. The camera that was in it when I got it, which I think is the original (but not 100% positive) is EL3T-19G490-AA.
This camera works, has the straight guide lines, the +in the upper-left to zoom in on the trailer hitch, and the colored blocks for parking assist.
The problem is this camera is EXTREMELY blurry, even after polishing the crap out of the lens. I believe it is inside the lens that is the issue.
I tried several attempts to avoid paying the excessive price Ford charges for the OEM camera.

Attempt #1: I bought an aftermarket camera from Amazon. This camera was super clear, albeit a little fish-eye like. Guide lines were there, along with the active guidelines that curve when I turn the wheel (loved this feature!)
The problems for this were that the + was there, but the zoom did not work, and the camera angle was weird; seemed to be pointed down at my rear bumper and did not really let me see behind the vehicle very much. No bueno.

Attempt #2: I bought a used OEM camera FR3T-19G490-AD. This camera was clear, and had the straight guide lines. No active guide lines OR zoom though. Trying to do the camera programming in Forscan failed at 8% (could not communicate on LIN with camera). Weird.

Attempt #3: Got an entire rear emblem assembly used on eBay with KB3T-19G490-AA in it. This yielded the exact same results as Attempt #2.

Is there a camera that will work in my truck that will give me a normal view, and have the zoom AND the active guidelines? Am I missing something on these OEM cameras that cause the Forscan programming to fail? (The Forscan program does complete successfully on the original blurry camera, so I don't think it is the wiring.)
Thanks for any help!

EL3Z19G490D is the correct Ford part number. The number you read off the camera is the engineering number.

You can get it from Lakeland Ford online for 181.00 plus shipping.
You can check with user AppleFordParts as well. he may have a better price

Does the EL3Z-19G490-D camera have the active (steering linked) curved guide lines? Or is that option (oddly) only available on aftermarket cameras?
