So my backup camera started flashing, some times it would work like it should but most of the time it would just flash. I had the dealer look at it while I was in for an oil change. They said it was a bad camera and wanted $1100 to fix it.
Now I don't mind paying for a service but I can't see any way for them to justify that price. The Ford part is $400 and the bezel / emblem is $60, $95 an hour for labor. So it should cost $555 + tax. I ended up ordering one from Camera Source $271 delivered. Took me 10 minutes in the freezing cold to change it out. I just can't see how they wanted $1100 for that.
