mine leaked on both sides and the rear. less than a year old and the seals were cracking and flaking apart. I emailed Bak three times and never got so much as a response. they sure are quick to brag about their new garbage, but they don't like to stand behind their old garbage.

You should know that this past March Bak Industries was bought by the company that owns Extang (and TruXedo, and BedRug, and UnderCover, and Advantage, and Retrax). https://www.f150forum.com/f2/bak-ind...bedrug-253736/

I didn't buy a Bak in December 2013 when my research showed me that they had REDUCED their warranty coverage. As I posted on the forum, companies do that when they realize that they have too much expense or exposure. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/beware...7/#post3294249

Like anything, be careful lumping problems with products into one pot - one would hope that THI fixed the problems that Bak was having by now - so complaints about product made before the acquisition may not be relevant.

I can tell you that I had leakage issues with my Extang Encore as well as a minor issue with the lock. It has a 3 year warranty and I live near them. I arranged to visit and a Customer Service rep along with an engineer examined it and decided to swap it out for me. I installed the new one, but have not had it out in the rain to see if it leaks, although it did not during a car wash.
