Copy thanks for the input. I merely want the switch to be illuminated at night so I can see it when driving in the dark.

I honestly forgot about this little project. I have been busy and it got put on the back burner. I never even got a chance to see if my harness had the sticker.

As far as the question about where I mounted my light bar, I mounted it on a one of the horizontal support bars on my grill guard.

The other place i was thinking into tapping the illuminated light is right on top where the map lights are. That's where i'm going to be installing my KustomFX switch panel. The light on those switches come on when you turn on the headlight **** (my is a 2018 model). any thoughts on that location?

You may want to see if the guys in the 2015-2018 section are able to help answer your question. (This is the 2009-2014 section), and even though I make the switch panels for both generation trucks, I have not found a dash light hot wire in the 2015-2018 trucks and the “dash light” fuse is in the engine compartment from what I’ve researched.

So if you’re going to run a wire out there, you may as well just tap into the park lamp “hot wire” (with a 5a in-line Fuse for protection) so your dash light led on the switch will illuminate when it comes on at night.

If theres a dash light wire to tap for your 2015-2018 in the cab, maybe someone can help chime in. For the 2009-2014 trucks some fuse boxes have a different layout and have to do the same. But most have a fuse (#40) that is for the rear park lamps that work great.

Hipe it helps.
