Auto-Down driver window
Does anyone know if this feature is controlled by the switch or is there a relay or other electronic gizmo somewhere else? My 2008 Ford Taurus X (and several other older Fords) have an auto Up and Down driver window. I want to try and get it to work on this new $45K truck.
I hope you have success with this and post information. I personally have always wondered why if it was going to be just one way it wouldn't be auto-up. Going through a drive-thru you don't have your hands full when you roll it down, just up! That's just me though.
My wife's car has auto up and down on both front windows, very nice feature.

On most systems the motor senses current draw . Motor turns its full travel to the limit stops, causing high current draw which trips the thermo switch. Thermo switch in like a switch, which turns off motor. I think the motor must have both up and down switch to work.

I guess I don't get out much.
I've never seen an auto-up window.
Isn't there a safety issue here, or do they have something like on a garage door opener, that stops or reverses when it hits some resistance? Like your kid's neck when he puts his head out the window and then accidently hits the auto-up switch.

That is kinda strange that they don't have the auto up feature. My Nissan Titan had auto up and down for both front windows. I really liked that about that truck. If I could get the little Nissan conviences in a F150 ride and comfort that would be the perfect truck.
