No problem. I also did some searching on some Apple forums and our problem could be an Apple thing, but most of the post were about a year old. So who knows. Over on my wife's Focus forum there was a person on Ford's sync IT team posting things. I will try to PM her and see if this is something we will be getting. I have heard that repairing your phone can sometimes make it work better.

Apple will be releasing a new OPsystem soon too,, maybe it will work but I have my doubts! Since they are suppose to have it working in the 2013 F150's now, that means it is something they did to update the sync system and not the phone. Don't bother trying the restore feature on the Iphone as that won't work either and you have to go in and change all your settings and install your pictures, music and contacts.....

Just so you guys know why I am upset. I did a flow through console in my XLT and I kept the factory audio system and added a DVD/NAV system (which BTW has Bluetooth too) just so I could keep the sync system without any altercations! I relocated the HU to the console so it works just like it did from the Factory, then I used the line in for the output on the DVD/NAV system. So I can use the Bluetooth on the sync or the DVD. I also have a usb hard drive with over 100 gigs of my music on it so again I don't need to use the phone for this... I want the sync to work with texting as apposed to those that are replying it works good for my music and phone and don't care about the texting, so as you can see I invested al lot of time and work to have it work as it was suppose to do!

2012 FX4 Sync with Nav. I own an iPhone 5 with the latest iOS and no texting for me either! I agree with most, I paid for a system that had texting available but after paying for it I didn't get what I fully paid for! Ford if your listening, please update our systems and give us the functionality we paid for! It wouldn't work so well if Ecoboost owners decided to not pay Ford fully on our loan because we don't get the 22 MPG they advertised would it?

my iPhone don't even here me when I talk if I go to call my wife (Becky) it asks if I want to call dot and then calls ball# and wont hang up! so I am with you on getting some answers! now don't even get me started on texting

Its a well known fact that texting with Iphone doesn't work with anything below Iphone5. I knew this before I bought my '13. I did just upgade my operating system to 3.6.2 and WOW all problems solved! USB connectivity, audio streaming, everything is now quite smooth. I hear you on the point of Ford looking after its newest customers...hopefully the 2014s work on the same system and platform thus helping me stay current. If I did have a 2011 and it wasn't working properly, I would turn into a real pain in the *** to my dealership to the point whereby they would fix the damn thing! You paid for the option, therefore expect to use the option! good luck!
