Attempted changing pads and rotors
So today I was attempting to change my pads and rotors on 2013 FX4. Just cracked 100,000 miles and the rotors were starting to vibrate under braking. Everything went well until I tried to remove the caliper bracket bolts. Wholly cow!!!! Couldn't break them loose, even tried using my 3/4 drive impact that produces 850 foot pounds of torque at 150psi. Needless to say, never got the bolts out. Put it back together and curious what the heck my next step is.
Anyone else run across this?

Do a lot of traveling all the time. I put 275,000 on a 2010 model. Been really lucky with ford trucks. Typically never have any trouble with exception of a water pump on the 2010. That took all of about 45 minutes to change.

Either a breaker bar if you can fit it in some where. Or a hammer. I out the socket on the bolt and gently hammered on the wrench cane right off.
And remember when you put the new pads on bunny ears go on the inside.

I'm in Dallas area. No rust on my buckles. My compressor isn't worn out. It's massive since it supplies air to my whole service shop. And I was the only one there yesterday. I even tried a break over first, that's when I went for my higher torque impact. Heck this impact has twisted 1" bolts in two. I was afraid of that happening to these bolts but, they won't break lose.
