Anyone replaced the SunRoof Track yet?

My sunroof on my 2012 finally failed on me and I got around to removing the glass after forcing it closed one evening. Found broken plastic bits all in the track, and the cams were completely outside of the tracks. I removed the cams completely, and currently the sunroof glass is back in place and aligned 99% with no leaks. Looking at getting the Sunsoof Dr kit and replacing the cam brackets.
WTF would Ford use crappy plastic pieces on a sunroof is beyond me...I've NEVER had a sunroof failure in ANY other vehicle. Ridiculous. Makes me want to go back into the import market. I *thought* domestic quality was back on track (pun intended)...guess I was wrong!

Here is a video that shows how to fix these. Everything from the interior removal (2009 - 2014 F-150s) to the sunroof track rebuild process, which is roughly the same mechanism from 1998 thru 2014. Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4wW7fAFOlE

It could always be worse.. My co-worker bought a new Jeep 'Rocky Ridge'.
Beautiful looking Jeep, if you're into Jeeps. Anyhow. It's barely two weeks old and has the removable one piece roof over the front seats. Basically 1/2 the roof lifts off.
That thing leaks in 3 different places. One drips nicely right on his left arm and the other drips heavily just in front of the dash so it catches the water and conveniently runs right down into the stereo. I haven't seen the third in action.
Great idea, horrible execution with the placement of the latches. Trying to fix it only makes it worse.
What kills me is that design is similar to the T-Tops on Camaro's & Trans Am's from 30 years ago, that 50% leaked and 50% didn't.
So they've had 30 years and yet they're still turning out removable roofs that leak.
It's too bad, because it has a great factory suspension. He just can't deal with getting dripped on, or the eventual issues that's gonna happen to the stereo and whatever else electrical is getting wet.

Master of none
It sounds like someone didn't put it back on right. It's pretty common to have it misaligned.
I'm probably double screwed. I have a sunroof in my 2014 (3rd one with a sunroof) and my wife has a Wrangler (2nd one).
None leak

My 2005 had one. I opened that thing every chance I got for 8 years. Not a single issue.
My current 2014 will be 3 years old a week from now. Same thing. Use it all the time... No issues.
I've always kept the tracks clean and well greased, tho.
As far as my friend/co-worker's Jeep goes. Scott is mechanically inclined. If it's leaking, it's a factory defect. Not a chance in hell, he would put it back on misaligned. He's like me, he enjoys wrenching his truck or Jeep.
If he does keep it and the dealer doesn't make it right, then he'll figure it out.
I'm not knocking Jeeps. My sister has a 1993 Wrangler soft top. That thing has been beat to hell. Yet the soft top barely leaks at all.
I've had a lot of good rides over the years with the roof and the doors off. I like the windshield down more than they do on those hot days.
