I have a backup camera wired into my Livewire mounted. Camera works well but the one thing which I DON'T like about it and prob wouldn't have bought the camera had I known at the time, is the view for the camera doesn't automatically go into backup mode when you shift into reverse.

Which means to use it, have to tap Camera on the tuner from the main menu and then it works great. But I have my TS set to run guages all the time and defaults to that so for the camera to work, I have to select exit guages, main menu, then select camera input for it to pull up the camera, and then once not backing up, everything in reverse to go back into guages. Granted, that doesn't take long to do that but when I get in the truck, I just want to hop in and go.

Has been handy few times I've been backing up into tight spots but I dont use it for everyday use.

There is an auto mode setting for the Livewire camera. Won't that show the image automatically when it detects an input? I got my Livewire but waiting on my camera to try it out...

Nope. I called SCT on it when I did my camera as I figured maybe I was missing a specific setting or something as never had a backup camera before but you have to physically select Camera buttom from main menu to activate it, doesn't come on automatically when you go into reverse.

Don't get me wrong, I love the TS as a tuner and guages but the backup camera feature leaves something to be desired IMO.

So I wonder what the Manual/Auto camera setting does? If that's the case I may save my pennies for a Lockpick...
