Default Anyone install a 6" rough country lift themselves?

Gonna pull the trigger on a 6" rough country lift and was wondering if anyone had hands on experience installing one ? Any pointers would be appreciated. I'll be using a buddy's trans shop so that should help. I did my jeep in the drive way and it was a pain in my ..... Ya know

I installed my mcgaughys it was some work. Only advice I have is be careful when you swap out the spindles and all the stuff on them and pull the CV axles so you can remove the from diff a lot easier. Just put a pry bar between the did and the cv axle and they pop out pretty easy.

Any pics of the mcgauphy installed? I've been researching and think the mcgauphy requires the least amount of cutting/ drilling. Where did you purchase your lift?

The only cutting you had to do was to mount the rear cross member , correct?

Yea I think it'll be a 10hr day but that's fine. EBay has the Rc 6" for $999 so I really can't help it lol I'll be slappin it on in the next couple weeks

All lift kits have the same components pretty much. It's just upto you on how your going to use it. Mine was all street kind of hard to beat up on a brand new truck. Where are you from.

I'm in Illinois. I don't mind beatin on my truck at all but I gotta 95 yj that I prefer to beat lol . The lifts are all the same I just favor rough country for no reason other than that's what I put on my jeep and love it!
