So you cut out the Sony sub cut out first, then put it in the truck and traced the kicker sub curve? Would you or anyone else mind posting a pic? I am just having a hard time cutting a big chunk out of $200 mats.

Feel your pain I have the same set up weather tech, crew cab & kicker.
I chose to cut it vs mount over it.
Living in Chicago it will need to come out to be scrubbed and hosed off.
Only required about 4" strip on driver side and 1/2" to remove rib to slide mat under the box along the passenger door side.

Yeah I had hard time cutting it too. But once I did it I was glad I did. Looks and fits much better.

Just curious if the holes to mount the kicker sub are indeed under the carpet. Gonna do the install in the SuperCrew this weekend.

Yup, theyre there. Cut the spot in the dimple of the carpet, in my XLT. Then used nuts and bolts to secure it, vs. nutserts....

Then traced out the Substage on my ford rubber mats, looks like they came that way....

I used heavy duty velcro on my mat and then to the sub. Can easily remove to clean and keeps mat and carpet whole.

Sorry, I installed the sub over the mat, traced and then pulled the sub. Then cut just before the line on the left side (most curved), this way the edge of the sub box holds it down. I can post pics tomorrow.
