I seen this posted in another thread and it suits this thread. The reason the price went up is below:

Once the demand goes down so will the price. Get a cheap 13 or wait.

So you put all those extra mods on a truck you are leasing?? Wow, guess I can't see where price would be a big issue if can dump a couple of grand into a truck you are knowingly going to have to return, yet basically give all that stuff away at very used prices and start all over. Interesting, think all those extra mods would have covered a decent chunk of the higher cost had you not "invested" it so wisely. I am all for mods, but not on a leased truck with so many limitations and never an intention to "own" it down the road at some point.

Wow. Why does it seem like so many people on this forum are just actively looking to lecture others? What does him modding his leased truck have to do with Ford raising their F-150 prices?

Definitely went up. The Raptor I just ordered today was $59,975 MSRP. And no, I didn't pay that. :-)

I personally don't care what he has/hasn't put on his truck. But pissin and moaning about how much a truck has gone up for reasons no other than inflation, yet dumping a couple of grand on mods into a leased truck, seems to make no sense when contemplating his decision and griping about the price. But yes, the prices have gone up, eventually we will see these trucks at 60k+ for an F-150 as long as the socialist continue dumping money into a dying economy. Otherwise, that is how this has something to do with this LOL.

Yes, I plan on taking stuff off.

I have the option to buy and I'm still thinking about buying it. Also, my buy out is like $26.6k, which I think is a descent deal. I can always try to the sell the truck outright and get a few bucks back.

Actually the lease was kind of a deterrent to go too crazy with mods.

My last few trucks I've gone a little overboard. My 03 Cummins got a turbo and fuel pump upgrade, exhaust, intake, programmer, triple disc billet converter and valvebody, lift, wheels and tires, AMP steps, tonneau, powdercoated bumpers and debadged and dechromed.

I figured if I leased I would be able to hold back. So I just did a 1.5" leveling kit, wheels and tires(kept my stockers), tonneau, intake and air bags. All of that is pretty easy to pull off. Also easy to sell on ebay or craigslist. Wasn't going to do airbags, but sagged so bad, I needed them. Had to have good tires for winter here in Montana.

Just my 2 cents.

Its a good truck, just kinda feel like I'm pushing the limits of a half ton sometimes.

When I bought my 2012, a 2013 with the same options was about $500 more MSRP and about $2500 more X-plan. I wasn't sure how the new little stereo screen was going to work and felt better with the money saved on a 2012 so I went with it.

I don't know if I would buy a 2014. Their resale is going to drop significantly when the 2015s are released since they are a complete redesign. My 2010 did the same since the 2011 model year had the better drivetrains.
