I should also ask if anyone with this "lean" can see this where the cab and bed meet? In other words, I can see that the driverside of the bed is higher because the line of sight between where the bed meets the cab is off...hopefully that makes sense?

Used the opportunity of a long trip and filling the fuel tank from ¼ tank > full upon return.

Before fill-up ...
  • RH side - 37¾"
  • LH side - 38½"
After fill-up ...
  • RH side - 37½"
  • LH side - 37¾"
***Height from ground to bottom of rear fender flare as measured across the middle of the wheel.

Google Roadmaster Active Suspension... (Aftermarket part which attaches to your rear leaf spring). The purpose isn't to lift the rear of the truck, but lift is a reaction to reducing the factory leaf spring's ability to sag. The amount of turns on the adjustment bolt will vary from one truck to another due to different vehicle options/configurations.

With less than 1/2 tank of fuel and nobody in the vehicle mine sags towards the drivers side. I noticed it while walking back from the mailbox one day with my garage door open.

My 2011 max tow screw is higher on the drivers also by at least an inch. Very annoying. I questioned when new and didn't get any satisfaction from the stealership.

Mine is about 3/4" low on the drivers side. Took it to the dealer and they claimed they measured 1/8" difference. Service writer told me the spec is 1/4". That is also what is written on the service ticket. I am planning to take it back and have them measure with me there.

A lot of interesting responses thanks. It appears this is more common than I thought. Out of curiosity, I parked my truck on the opposite side of the garage and also backed it in and took more measurements; there was at least a 1/2" difference no matter where I parked. I also put 2 bags of traction sand- ~160lbs- on the floor in front of the driver's seat to represent weight of driver; at least 1/4" difference. That is a lot more acceptable than an inch. A coworker of mine who is very knowledgeable mentioned that over-extending or compressing the leaf springs while off-roading, or imbalanced loads in the bed may have an effect on one side over the other, but should even out as the other side "breaks in."

I've asked before and never gotten around to calling the dealer because I figured they would have laughed but the drivers side sits about 3/4 " lower and a 1/4" lower in the front compared to the right side. I never fill my tank about 3/4 cuz it makes it way worse and I only weight 175# so I couldn't be from me. I did notice the driver side leaf pack seams way more worn out then the passenger side but has been like that since new. Idk 2011 5.0 scab stx 4x4
