I find it amazing and funny how a little "ding" can drive some people nuts.

Only once until the battery is interrupted, then it has to be done again.

Sorry about the "Road hunting" queation. I was actually talking about Poachers. Those guys **** me off, shooting animals on other folks land who have been feeding the herd, legally.

The procedure in the manual worked for me in my 2013 when I bought it it new. Before I found this thread though I went to the junkyard and found a recently wrecked late model truck and cut the end off the seatbelt and just inserted it and it solved the chime problem. Go to the junk yard I doubt they would charge much or even charge you for just that little chrome clip.

First thing I do when getting a new truck. So glad that annoying ding is gone. Ugh.

It might've worked, but it didn't solve the problem I wanted it to. It still dings thrice as soon as I start the engine, but doesn't do it again after that.

Ha trust me those types **** me off too. The private land I have permission on, last season on rifle day, the owner and game department put out a decoy. Caught 29 poachers in 1 day "road hunting" with rifles.

Anyways, good to know on the belt! I'm gonna do it tomorrow.

Ha...I did mine the minute I got home...I call it a freedom seat now. I think it's always been the same.

Now, mine will still beep if I have a passenger that isn't buckled...did you have a passenger? It worked great, but only the driver is in the Freedom seat..the passenger is still being hounded by the government to buckle up!

Buckle and unbuckle 3 times in 30 seconds - done
Seat belt light turns on for 3 seconds - done
Buckle and unbuckle 1 time in 7 seconds - done
After this nothing happens (No flashing seat belt light confirming it was turned off)

That's exactly how I did it and the dang thing still beeps at me. Any ideas or has anyone done it on their 2013 yet?

Default I dont want you to take anything i say personally.

[QUOTE=Count Drunkula;2592715]Hi. I'm not actually an insane person, I just play one on the internet.

I am actually the Environmental Safety and Health Lead at my work.

Now I don't want anybody to take anything I am about to say personally. I only want to provide you the tools to do some critical thinking regarding your opinions and actions.

I am seeing some incredibly dangerous misinformation on this thread regarding low speed driving.

The next time you are driving in what you consider a controlled environment at low speed, have a look at your speedometer. I promise you that you will be driving at a considerably higher rate of speed than "a whopping 2mph".

Ever drive through a school zone? Of course you have. Think of how AGONIZINGLY SLOW 15 MPH feels. I bet you drive substantially faster than that when you think you are going super-slow.

Want to guess the lowest speed at which fatalities among unbelted vehicle occupants have been recorded?

12 MPH.

Read that again.

That is about the speed you would be going in a parking lot.

You don't need to take my word for it. Take a look at the "Seat Belt Convincer". This device replicates the forces the human body would experience in a impact at only 5-7 MPH.

So, disable your reminder chime if you really must, but don't fool yourself into thinking you are immune to damage at low speeds.

Oh, and just for giggles...if anyone at one of my worksites disabled his or her vehicle's warning chimes, we'd be spending some quality refresher safety training time together. And if I caught anyone with any tool, including those fancy eBay items, to disable or work around a safety device of any kind, they would spend some quality time with the administrator in something we call terminati

Another motherhen safety expert.
My 30 plus year's of dangerous job's say's.
No matter what kind of seat belt? or how much Kevlar you wear , how fast you run or how deep the hole you jump into is.
If it's you're time the ticket will be punched!! end of story!!!

My 10, 12, 14 were all turned off an will always be.

You may be a good safety osha man but reading that reminded me of the worthless 1 we had that cost me a good hand for life an thought it was funny when he covered it up, an got away with it.
