I am looking for a decal system to use on my Sterling Gray.
I am leaning towards this hood decal and something for the sides....

Local sign/graphics/wrap/etc. shop - made from their stock and installed by them (all for less than ¼ the co$t of the Ford Custom Graphics version) ...

Have you thought about plasti dip? You could do that with plasti dip and that way you can take it off whenever you want as well. The durability is phenomenal and you won't be able to tell the difference in how it was done unless you go up close to it and feel it (texture will be different).
I've had my tailgate done for close to a year now with plasti dip with absolutely no problem whatsoever. It's been through probably 50 hand washes;Below zero temperatures, snow, ice, 115* summers, rain- it's held up perfectly and looks like I just applied it yesterday.
I know what you're wanting is more specific in terms of design, but It won't be any different from a durability stand point. In my eyes, it's the winner because you have the option of easily pulling it off whenever you want. And for that matter, spraying it back on whenever you want as well. Much cheaper than vinyl or wrap route.
