I'll bet the morimoto's don't screw with the FM tuner either.
Yes/No?

I have the $40 set and am very happy. Just messes up my radio when in rural areas.

I think that applies to 99% of things, with the exception of LEDs, because 9 times out of 10, expensive LED products are running the same cree LEDs the unbranded china stuff is. The LED market in general doesn't have a clear hierarchy of quality in my experiences.

Maybe not in the LED itself, but the drivers are where the real money (or lack there of) is.

I consider them one in the same, since most LEDs will be mounted directly to the boards. I have a few friends into flashlights and they've told me the boards and LEDs are all going to be pretty similar unless you get into real, real cheap stuff.

I think with automotive led products it's more about the housing build quality, ie rigid housing vs. generic china housings.

Absolutely. The drivers create electromagnetic interference with radio reception.
