What are you guys using to paint these and how are you going about doing it? Has anyone done this with the OEM chrome lights and pix to share?

I had the OEM chrome headlights myself and used color-matched paint from automotivetouchup.com. They have factory colors with a paint wizard to find your color code respective to your vehicle. I recommend that you get:

1 can of adhesion promoter
2 cans of base part color
2 cans of gloss clear coat

Thanks for posting up the info! I'm in the planning stages of my retrofit.

Now I'm wondering how mine would looked painted to match my candy red...
Black almost always looks good on anything but colors can look weird if over done.
My neighbor is a pro body shop painter and would shoot it for me. Just not sure how it would turn out.

How did the Panamera shroud fit? I like that one and the Orbit.

P.s. what are you guys using to paint the amber lens?

I used Tamiya PS-31 Smoke to tint (smoke) the orange reflectors. The Panamera shrouds need extensive trimming to fit flush to the concave bucket.

Personally, IMHO, would go black with your candy red paint.

I just painted the chrome bezel black and it darkened the amber lens to the same tint as seen on HD versions. I didn't want to go darker.

I was kinda thinking the same thing, black instead of the red. A nice, gloss black could look really good. Only thing is I have the chrome package so lots of chrome stuff and not much black.

And thanks for the recommendation on the lenses.

I did see it started.. but not sure where it went..

I would do black trim. I did a dupli-color black enamel.
as for the side reflector. I used NHT Night Shade tail light tint. then a dupli-color clear. and waxed/ buffed them.
