The chains that I have for our 2013 4x4 are Glacier Chains. Stock #2028. The bag says "truck cable chains" distributed by PEWAG CHAIN. The tires are stock size 275/65R18. We did put one of the chains on a rear tire and properly adjusted, it will clear the shock absorber well enough. Hope this helps.

And, after thinking for a few minutes, remembered that the chains came from E-Trailer. Looked and they appear to still be available for about $94 plus shipping. Go to their website and type "tire cable chains glacier 2028" and it should take you right there. They are available in a wide range of sizes.

This morning, I Had quite a fun experience of sliding backwards over 65 yards while trying to drive up to a parking area to elk hunt. Decided right then, I needed chains.

Imagine my surprise as I go through the site to realize my 2013 4x4 XLT with 275/65r18 can’t use chains... anywho, I searched and searched to try to find an alternative. I see some mention they have used chains occasionally.

Can those who have used chains on this particular rig let me know how it’s gone? I’d only use it to go up iced over roads (types of tires don’t make a bit of difference), so I won’t be going long distance. But I definitely NEED to have something.

Thanks in advance
Check out XG-12 from Thule. It provides a lot more clearance, for the fact that it has dual sided D shaped links. I've been using it for quite a while now, and undoubtedly, it's the best investment I've ever made. Converts my AWD into an absolute beast, provides exceptional traction even in heavy snow, and in icy regions as well. I really think that this pair of chains would work with your tire set.

Edit; Never mind I reread the OP post. it wouldn't let me delete my post.
