Believe it or not the Harley Davidson shorty antennae works well on the F150. Only $29 and effective.

Great find. I was worried about the shorter version of the stubby because people were saying reception dropped off pretty quick when you reach the outskirt of town. I don't mind reduced reception since I'm in a metro area but I don't want to reduce overall reception any more than necessary. The only complaint I have about the stock one is that it's SO much higher than the height of the truck. I hit my parking garage ceiling at each end on my way up and its scratching the top of the antenna pretty badly (not to mention the CLING sound that gets everyone's attention every time I turn the corner).
Just bought one. Thanks for the lead!! |

I bought one on amazon for like $25 shipped that is about 3" long.
So far works awesome and like the fact it is powdercoated and solid, should outlast the truck. |
I actually have one on my truck as of this morning will give you a review tonight.
