Default Another Fuel Gauge post

Hello all. I am having an issue with my fuel gauge. Truck is a 2013 XLT Crew cab with 3.7. Approximately 2 years ago my fuel gauge stopped reading correctly. When I would fill up, it would only show 1/2 tank. At about 3/4 tank the low fuel light would come on. I compensated by using the trip computer. I have had the fuel pump replaced twice and I have replace the evap purge valve (This was due to hard starting after filling gas tank). Finally, I took the truck to a Ford dealer who said my fuel pump was bad. When I explained that my mechanic had replaced the fuel pump twice already, first using OEM, then using after market to no avail, they refused to do or look at anything else until I paid them $800 to replace the fuel pump again for the third time in as many months. I walked out after some choice words about customer service and active listening skills.

Now I turn to you knowledgeable folks looking for suggestions. I have read the other posts regarding a similar issue and they have either been solved by replacing the fuel pump or evap valve, both of which I have done. Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

When I was having trouble with fuel gauge in my 2011 XLT 5.0 it turned out to be the instrument cluster. That was after changing out the fuel pump/sending unit twice.

I am not mechanically inclined, but isn't the fuel sending unit attached to the fuel pump?

Did you have to do anything with the mileage?

If you've already changed the evap purge valve and the fuel pump (as well as a new sender), then I'd be leaning towards the instrument cluster as well. I think I've read about this happening to someone on here.

I had issues with my fuel gauge only going to 3/4 tank when Id fill it up since I bought the truck 2 years ago then it would creep to full after a day of driving (thought it was normal). Recently its got worse and would only go to 1/2 tank when i would fill it and then after a couple days of driving it would slowly creep up. I saw this video which I Linked below and I poured 2 bottles of the Chevron Techron PLUS in my truck then filled it up. I let the truck sit for 2 days un-driven so the sending unit could soak in a full tank with the Chevron then i drove the truck till empty. since then I filled the truck 2 times now and the fuel gauge goes to FULL instantly.
