Default All of Sudden, My '10 Screw 5.4 Woke Up!!!

I know this is going to sound odd, but my 2010 F150 Platinum just turned 15,000 kms.....and now, it feels as if my truck has all of a sudden has more oomph. The power throughout the whole rpm band feels stronger. It's hard to explain....there is absolutely no drive line mods or wheel and tires changes. I'm not complaining, I like this new found feeling....but maybe that's all it is, just a feeling, but I'm an automotive/truck enthusiast, so I am very much aware of my rides!

I had heard that some manufactures electronically limit there vehicles for an "X" amount of time during initial break in....does Ford do this too?

Also, I just had Ford perform the second scheduled maintenance just before I turned 15k kms.????

Any thoughts to this.....or is my mind with me???

I know the air filter was not changed this time around.

Flash the computer...why? There's a TSB for the transmission they were going to do, but didn't have time, so I can't see them flashing the ECU without mentioning anything to me.

It's a head scratcher fer sure!!!

Im in the same boat. I have a bully dog gt tuner and the gotts mod and I noticed a diff from them. Then on day I got in it and it just seemed way faster. Faster then before for sure. Idk if.my motor fully broken in or what. I noticed it being faster at about 4100 miles. I have a 4.6 2v

i have the2009 5.4 xlt and i swear when i was pulling my TT on a 4000km trip that it had more power on some days but i realized that maybe when i refuelled it depended on gas brand? , i was told shell was a better gas but how come ? same grade but different additive? next trip i will make sure i notice where i gas up and try to see if i feel the difference.
